Affiliate Disclosure
SmartCashLab is free to use, and some pages may include affiliate links. This page explains what that means, how we label those links, and why they never change our calculators.
What an affiliate link is
Some pages may link to financial products and services, such as balance transfer cards, loan comparison services, and mortgage tools. Some of those links may be affiliate links. If you click one and then apply, sign up, or are approved, the company or affiliate network may pay SmartCashLab a commission. This comes at no extra cost to you, and the price or terms you are offered are set by the provider, not by us.
Which links are affiliate links
Some pages may include affiliate links in the product and service comparison sections of our calculator pages; when they do, a short disclosure appears directly above those links. These links are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored nofollow", which tells search engines that the link is a paid relationship. Links to our own pages, and informational links to other websites, are not affiliate links.
Compensation never changes the math
Our calculators give the same results whether or not a product pays us. Commissions do not affect the formulas, the assumptions, the worked examples, or any savings figure a calculator shows. Compensation may influence which products appear in a comparison section and the order they are listed in, but it never changes what the calculator tells you.
We do not cover every product
The products and services we list are a selection, not the whole market. We may not review or include every product available, and other options may suit you better. Listing a product is not an endorsement that it is right for your situation.
Offers and terms are set by the providers
Rates, fees, promotional periods, rewards, and approval decisions are set by each card issuer, lender, or service, and they can change at any time. Always check the current offer and its full terms on the provider's own website before you apply. SmartCashLab is not a lender, broker, or card issuer and does not decide who is approved.
Why we tell you this
We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance that websites should clearly disclose paid relationships, and whenever a page includes affiliate links, we place a short disclosure near them. If you have a question about a link or a partnership, contact us through our contact page. Learn more about how the site works on our about page.
