Summary

• SmartCashLab is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. There are no user accounts and no sign-up.
• The numbers you enter in a calculator stay in your browser. They are not sent to us or stored by us.
• The site itself does not set cookies and does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers.
• Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data to deliver and protect the site.
• Any affiliate links on the site take you to third-party websites, which have their own privacy policies and may use cookies.
• We do not sell personal information.

Calculator inputs

Calculations happen entirely in your browser using code on the page. The balances, rates, payments, and other values you enter are not transmitted to SmartCashLab or saved by us. If you download a results file, such as a CSV table, it is created on your device and is not sent to us.

Information we collect

Hosting and security data

Like any website, our pages are delivered by servers that receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, and the referring page. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes this information to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse, and may keep it in logs for a limited time under its own policies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies in some cases, for example to tell people apart from automated traffic. We do not use this data to build profiles of visitors. Email you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to read and reply to your message and to handle any request you make, and we keep it only as long as needed for that purpose.

Cookies

SmartCashLab does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Apart from any strictly necessary security cookies set by our hosting provider, described above, no cookies are placed when you browse this site.

Analytics

We do not currently use any analytics service. If we add one in the future, we will update this policy before it is turned on to explain what is collected, which provider is used, and any choices you have.

Affiliate links and third-party sites

Some pages on SmartCashLab may include affiliate links to banks, card issuers, lenders, and other services. If you click one, you leave our site and the third party, or the affiliate network that tracks the referral, may set cookies or record that you arrived from SmartCashLab so that a commission can be credited. We do not pass your calculator inputs or any other personal information to them. Anything you enter on a third-party site, such as an application, is governed by that company's privacy policy and terms, so please review them. How we use and share information

We use the limited information described above only to run and secure the website and to respond to messages. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the site and its users. Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and your request when you contact us.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom and under the CCPA in California, you may have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it (access);
• ask us to correct it or delete it;
• object to or ask us to restrict how we use it;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request; and
• complain to your local data protection authority.

We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. Because we keep so little information, the only personal information we are likely to hold is email you have sent us. To make a request, contact us through our contact page. We may need to confirm that a request comes from you before acting on it.

Children's privacy

SmartCashLab is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but because calculator inputs never leave your browser and we collect very little, there is little information to protect in the first place.

Changes to this policy

This policy applies as published on this page. If what we collect or how we use it changes, for example if we add an analytics service, we will update this page before the change takes effect. The version shown here is always the current one.
